Birth Doula
As your birth doula, I’m there for you.
From pregnancy preparation, through birth, and into the postpartum era I will be there to support your whole being- mind, body and spirit. It is my honor to witness your transformation into a new parent.
The connection we create throughout your pregnancy is vital. I will be there for you as a companion, guide, safe space, and source of evidence-based information, comfort, and positivity on this journey. Then, when it’s time for you to welcome your baby earthside, I’ll be right there with you. I protect your space fiercely, and bolster you up (sometimes literally!) during your labor and birth. Afterwards, I continue to support you as you emerge into the postpartum and newborn life.
Support means something different for every client.
I take time to discover what is important to you and craft my services to provide what you need. This can include a wide variety of things, here’s a few:
Education on birth and the postpartum time
Mental preparation, processing fear and anxiety
Building a positive mindset (birth can be fun and joyful! I love leaning in to this)
Tuning into and trusting your instinct and intuition
A listening ear/shoulder to cry on/zero judgement
Equipping you with tools for endurance and confidence
Hands-on methods for both coping with the intensity of labor and enabling deep relaxation
Helping you to set your intentions for birth and postpartum
Providing trauma-informed care
Bodywork to support your changing body. and ready it for a smooth birth
I also work closely with your birth partner, preparing them to give valuable support through the process

Pricing
My fees are sliding scale based on family income. This allows folks of varying resources to access my services. I use the San Francisco Area Median Income (AMI) chart to help clients determine what price tier they fall in. Using the chart, find your income in relation to the current number of household members and that will determine the percentage of the AMI for your family.
My Birth Doula Fees:
under 70% AMI - $1400
70%-130% AMI - $1700
above 130% AMI - $1900
I believe that birth support should be for everyone and know that it’s not something everyone can afford. The above is just a guide for you to use, but I trust that you will best be able to determine what you can pay. If you are experiencing financial hardship or other extenuating circumstances, please reach out to discuss rate options and payment plans.
Insurance
Currently I am not contracted with insurance plans, I am in the process and hope to provide that soon.
